    what's the name of the connector that you plug the harness to it? My passenger windows is not working and i just found out that the fault is the connector, 1 pin missing/broken. Any chance you know how to replace it ?

    • @PhillipBailey

      @TheNINpou that's part of one of the dash harness. I'd recommend to go to a salvage yard and cut one off another truck. Try to get a few inches of wire with it. I'm sure you can depin a terminal. Not sure what access to the connector is like though. If it's the driver door it's C219 number 14A005 according to the service information.

    I just had the same issue due a bad ckp and cmp sensors, both were changed bc the scan tool said that, but the problem of hesitation is still there, no codes tho, just the thing is that when It's hot outside the car does it, not when is cold or at night, only when is hot, I will be checking and cleaning the throttle body this weekend, any advice or update about it would be greatly appreciated, but honestly the factor of hot and cold is driving me crazy.

    • @PhillipBailey
      @PhillipBailey 3 дні тому

      @luisalbertoacosta8385 First off, the scan tool does not tell you to replace the cam and crank sensors. If there are codes related to either, it could be a faulty sensor, wiring problem, or even a mechanical problem in the engine. Now, what kind of cam and crank sensor did you install? You may have introduced a problem by putting aftermarket parts in. Since changing those sensors did not fix it, they are not likely the problem. What is the oil level and quality like? Is it misfiring? Mode 6 data records total misfires over the last ten drive cycles. How many miles on it? What are the conditions of the sparkplugs? Air filter, vacuum leaks, fuel trims during condition?

Customers may not like it or understand but if it's not broken or acting up when we see it, we just can't efficiently diagnose it. Sure we can get lucky and throw some parts at it but when that doesn't work we end up dealing with a come back, unhappy customer, and bad reputation as a hack. I had the same issue last winter with my 07 Colorado. I know next to nothing about how the 4wd works. I spent an hour or so on the forums and realized this switch gets a lot of mentions. I took a chance and ordered for about $70. I swapped in the next day. Problem was gone.... I believe it's rust that causes that switch to go bad. In fact every issue I have ever had with this truck, since new, was really a rust issue. Fuel pump lines rusted through. Rack and Pinon lines rusted through. Transmission cooler lines rusted through. All of which GM could have avoided for pennies per vehicle.
